This is the sixth entry in the Ambrose saga, right?

Fourth in this series. Knight Bewitched 1 - 2 - Celestial Hearts - Absinthia. I don't consider my other games to be part of it.

Oh! That’s different from how I read the store pages.

The Knight Bewitched page says that the Ambrose Saga includes itself, the numerical sequel, and Celestial Hearts.

KB2‘s page confirms it’s the second game.

Celestial Hearts’ page doesn’t say its part of the Ambrose Saga, but going off of KB1‘s page, it’d be the third game.

Finding Light describes itself as the fourth entry.

Knight Eternal describes itself as the fifth entry.

Absinthia‘s page doesn’t mention it being part of the Ambrose Saga, and none of the other pages mention it.

I’m guessing you changed the intended canon at some point, but that never got reflected in the store pages.

will you port this or any other of your games to android as well?

Hey there! Absinthia and Knight Bewitched: Enhanced Edition are on Google Play Store's Open Testing, and all of my other games are available on the Google Play Store as well.

Here's a link to Absinthia on Google Play. I think I've ironed out all the major bugs, so if all goes well I'll officially release it next week.

thank you very much for the answer.

do you think you could upload the apk also here on itchio? i don't have a google account and i would really love to play your games.

guess it's a no?

My apologies, I just got an APK file set up for Absinthia. That said, I'm not too familiar with distributing Android installers outside of the Google Play Store, so you might have to mess with your phone's settings for it to let you install it.

thanks.

i think it's just a matter of uploading the apk file on itchio so people can download it, but whatever, i guess i might just end up not playing the others. 🥲

take care.

It is not "just a matter of uploading the APK file". It is also the matter of the vast majority of Android devices blocking apps that aren't downloaded directly from the Play Store, and the user having to go into their settings to allow installing apps from unknown sources, which is a safety measure Android phones have in place to prevent installing harmful apps. I'm aware my apps aren't harmful, but also that some users might not appreciate having to open their phone up to potential harm to install my app from the Internet when they can just purchase it from the Google Play Store, hence why I don't normally upload APKs.

"whatever, i guess i might just end up not playing the others. " Ok. Take care 😁

the entitlement is insane

Thank you. I've got the game on Google Play (ironically, I was reminded by Steam that I wanted the game), though it would be great if the Android version was included with the Windows one on Itch.io. Haven't started playing yet, so, hopefully, the controls work well on small screens.
